Seismic Upgrade, Cosmetic Upgrade, Architectural PreservationPeople Space provided project managemant for the $780,000 project to seismicaly upgrade and restore the Sanctuary Building at the First Presbyterian Church of Alameda. The congregation wanted to celebrate the Centennial 100th Birthday of this National Historic Registry listed Sanctuary Building by correcting structural deficiencies, restoring antique Stain Glass windows and by completing a cosmetic upgrade of the exterior and interior. For our efforts, People Space was honored with the 2007 Outstanding Structural Retrofit award from the Alameda Architectural Preservation Society, pulblic recognition from Alamdea Mayor Beverly Johnson and Certificate of Merit from the Island City Masonic Lodge. |
